HOT AISHWARYA RAI

Graceful Aishwarya Rai At Longines Charity Dinner

Aishwarya Rai At Longines Charity Dinner
Aishwarya Rai has been the brand ambassador of Longines for a long long time. It has been 10 years now. I recently posted about Aishwarya Rai at Rolland Garros stadium, watching French Open finals, etc etc. It all comes down to this day. Aishwarya Rai was a part of Longines Charity Dinner held in Rodin Museum in Paris, France on 7th June 2010.

Aishwarya Rai presented award to the retired ace tennis player, Gustavo Kuerten at the Longines Charity Dinner. Gustavo Kuerten born September 10, 1976 is a retired former World No. 1 tennis player from Brazil. He won the French Open three times between 1997 and 2001, and was the Tennis Masters Cup champion in 2000. After 12 years on the international tour, he retired from top-level tennis in May 2008. Kuerten was awarded for his work in favor of disadvantaged children. It’s a nice gesture from Longines to hold such Charity events and also award and recognize the people who do such a graceful work on their own.

This is the first time Aishwarya handed the award to someone at Longines Charity Dinner. Earlier this was done by the very famous Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi.

Anyways, Aishwarya looked very very graceful in a Black Elie Saab gown. Deep V neckline gown with a knotted chiffon drape in front….she surely looked pretty awesome. Which she usually do

Oh! Did i mention that there were some other celebrities at the function as well. The beautiful and popular but retired tennis star Stefi Graf was present but i don’t think her hubby and tennis rockstar (retired) Andre Agassi was present this time. Another tennis sensation, the sweet Mary Pierce was also present at the Dinner. Looked like an all tennis charity event to me

Aishwarya Rai now will be heading to some unknown place where she will join Abhishek Bachchan, just for vacations. I believe they are again going to Istanbul, Turkey but seriously not sure… After that the couple will head off to U.S. for premier of Mani Ratnam’s movie “Raavan” on June 16th. The movie will be released worldwide on 18th June. Really looking forward to the release.

Aishwarya Rai At 63rd Cannes Film Festival Day-2

Aishwarya Rai

Alright, so it’s May 13th’ 2010, the second day at 63rd Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France. And the day couldn’t be better as the city is literally star studded at this moment.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looked stunning on the very first day of Cannes Film Festival. After making a beauty statement on day 1, Aishwarya Rai upped the glamor and style quotient on Day 2. She looked extremely beautiful in a Giorgio Armani Privé black evening gown at the Palais des Festivals.

Aishwarya’s strapless gown had layered embroidery in lacquered black jet beads and multicolored crystals at the bust. The gown stops just before the floor, so we can see her silver satin heels with a cute bow accent. I am not sure but i believe she is accessorized with a Ferragamo black satin clutch.

Anyways, Aishwarya Rai once again walked the red carpet with fellow L’Oreal brand ambassador Eva Longoria for the French film La Tournee (On Tour), directed by Mathieu Amalric. Besides doing the honors for the cosmetic brand, Aishwarya is also promoting her film Raavan at the festival. If you want to know more about this Mani Ratnam directed film, then feel free to browse through our site. You will find tons of information and pics from the movie.

If you’re wondering why Abhishek Bachchan ain’t present in any of the red carpet walks with Aishwarya Rai, well i think he is busy shooting for some movie and is supposed to join Aishwarya in France on May 17. Besides, he is the leading actor in Raavan. He has to be with Aishwarya for the movie promotions if not anything else.

Well this won’t the end of Day 2. Before we head into third day event, there is going to be a celebrity photocall on Day 2 as well. Aishwarya Rai decided to wear Emilio Pucci dress on Photocall. Just wait and wath for sometime and we will post it here for you!

Aishwarya Rai Unveils Pritish Nandy’s Book “Again”

guess Pritish Nandy doesn’t need any introduction. He is popular as a prolific journalist, filmmaker and a great poet. Pritish Nandy just launched his new book of poems titled “Again”. Aishwarya Rai along with Anupam Kher, MP Shashi Tharoor and Gulzar unveiled his book “Again” on evening of May 27? 2010 at Crossword, Kemps Corner, Mumbai.

Aishwarya Rai looked cute and sweet in all white. She recently came back from what i should believe was pretty tiring hard work. I am talking about the Cannes Festival 2010. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan also spent some quality time together at Turkey’s capital, Istanbul where Abhishek Bachchan is shooting for a film, probably titled “Dum Maaro Dum”. The couple left for Istanbul on May 18th. And no Aishwarya is not a part of that movie. They just wanted to have a vacation together. Anyways, Aishwarya reached Mumbai just in time for Pritish Nandy’s book launch. She was wearing some white dress and had a light makeup on and as i mentioned earlier, she looked pretty and sweeeet.

Pritish Nandy, who is now 59, has published 17 volumes of poems since the age of 16. That is a big deal, no doubt. However it’s been a long time since he picked up his pen for writing poems, since his last volume was published way back in 1981 which was titled “The Rainbow Last Night”. In his latest book “Again”, if i am not wrong, there are 72 poems in there. I wish i can get a copy of that!

Anyways, as of what i know about the book launch event, Pritish Nandy, this brilliant man, was all nervous at the event. In his own words “Suddenly everyone has access to your innermost thoughts and beliefs. It doesn’t matter how many books you may have written, you still feel insecure, unsure, tentative, vulnerable.” I would agree to that. How true!!!!

So, like all book launch events, in the end, Pritish Nandy read some excerpts from the poems from his book “Again”.

Enjoy the pics and the video from the book launch event. You will definitely be mesmerized by Aishwarya Rai in the video

I almost forgot adding the video here. Nonetheless, here it is. Enjoy the moments!

In Memory of Michael Jackson (1958-2009)

This Sticky post is bumped from June 25, 2009 — the day the world learned of the shocking news that pop icon Michael Jackson had passed away. It will remain at the top all day to commemorate the 1st anniversary of Michael’s passing.
The post is untouched except for one added photo and the addition of a rare video of the Jackson 5 rehearsing for a concert in 1970. The comments are closed.
Michael Jackson fans all over the world are stunned at the news of pop legend Michael Jackson’s death at the age of 50. I am not ashamed to admit I was a huge Michael Jackson fan for as long as I can remember.
As kids in 1974, my youngest brother and me were lucky enough to meet the legend up close and even dance with him in Miami, Florida.
I had a feeling Michael would die young because of all the abuse he put his body through and the drugs he ingested over the years. Still, the news of Michael’s untimely death came as a shock.
After the break, I posted my favorite photos of Michael Jackson, the way I want to remember him, before the surgeries and eccentric behavior.
